Supplementary Terms for Voucher Packages (Company and Family Packages) – Lucerna

Last updated: 2 November 2026

Translation. This is an English translation of the German-language supplementary terms («Zusatzbedingungen für Gutscheinpakete»). In the event of any discrepancy between the German and the English text, the German text prevails.

Provider: Privatarztpraxis R. Janušas OREME, Rolandas Janušas, MD, Specialist in Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery, Hauptstrasse 2, CH-9053 Teufen AR, e-mail: info@lucerna.care (hereinafter “OREME”).

1. Scope and relationship to the terms and conditions

1.1 These supplementary terms apply to the purchase and redemption of voucher packages for Lucerna (lucerna.care), namely company packages and family packages.

1.2 The Lucerna terms and conditions (lucerna.care/agb-en.html) and the privacy policy (lucerna.care/datenschutz-en.html), in the version valid at the time of purchase, apply in addition. In the event of conflict, these supplementary terms for voucher packages take precedence.

1.3 For the individual assessment created with a code, the Lucerna terms and conditions apply in relation to the person redeeming the code.

2. Packages and prices

Package Content Price
Company package 50 50 individual codes, each redeemable once CHF 250 / GBP 250 (CHF 5.00 per redemption)
Company package 200 200 individual codes, each redeemable once CHF 900 / GBP 900 (CHF 4.50 per redemption)
Family package 3 assessments, 3 codes CHF 15 / GBP 15 (CHF 5.00 per assessment)

2.1 One code is valid for exactly one Lucerna assessment with one perspective (current value CHF 6.– / EUR 6.50 / GBP 6.00 / USD 7.50). Additional perspectives are not included and can be paid for separately at the price applicable at the time.

2.2 All prices are in the currency of your location (CHF, EUR, GBP or USD). All prices in CHF are final prices. Any statutory value added tax due is included in the price. For company packages sold to businesses in the EU or the United Kingdom that provide a VAT identification number, the reverse charge mechanism applies.

3. Single-purpose voucher

3.1 The codes are single-purpose vouchers. They entitle the holder exclusively to obtain a Lucerna assessment on lucerna.care. They cannot be used for other OREME services, in particular not for medical consultations, second opinions or treatments.

3.2 The place of supply and the applicable tax are known at the time of purchase. The tax treatment is governed by the applicable law.

4. Purchase, contracting party and payment

4.1 Family package: The contract is concluded upon successful payment via the payment service provider Stripe. The contracting party is the purchasing person.

4.2 Company package: The contracting party is the ordering company, association or organisation (“company”), not the individual employees or members. The package price must be paid in advance via the payment service provider Stripe. The contract is concluded upon successful payment. When ordering, the company confirms that it is ordering as a business or organisation and not as a consumer.

5. Redemption of codes

5.1 Company package: Immediately after successful payment, the company automatically receives by e-mail, at the address given when ordering, a PDF list with 50 or 200 individual codes and the expiry date (“Gültig bis” – “valid until”). Family package: After successful payment, the purchasing person is shown the 3 codes on screen and additionally receives them by e-mail as a PDF list with the expiry date (“Gültig bis” – “valid until”). Each code can be redeemed exactly once.

5.2 The code is redeemed at payment: fill in the questionnaire at https://lucerna.care/check.html and click “Pay now”. On the payment page of our payment service provider Stripe, enter the code under “Add promotion code”. No registration is required.

5.3 Passing on: The company may pass the codes on to employees, members and their relatives, for example via intranet, newsletter or notice board. Family package codes may be passed on or given as a gift to family members and other persons. Public posting (e.g. on the internet or in social media) or resale is not permitted.

5.4 Codes cannot be exchanged for cash. No payment is made for unredeemed codes (subject to section 7).

6. Validity

6.1 All codes (company and family packages) can be redeemed for 3 months from the date of purchase. The expiry date is shown when the codes are issued or is stated on the code list.

6.2 Company package: After expiry, unredeemed codes lapse without refund. At the company’s request to info@lucerna.care before expiry, OREME may extend the validity as a goodwill gesture.

6.3 Family package: After expiry, the code may be technically deactivated. The statutory limitation period under Art. 127 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) is ten years. Upon request to info@lucerna.care within this period, OREME will issue an equivalent new code for expired, unredeemed codes, provided the Lucerna service still exists. Otherwise section 7.3 applies.

7. Refund

7.1 Unredeemed codes are refunded in full upon request within 14 days of purchase. In the case of a company package, the package price is only refunded if no redemption has yet taken place. For partially redeemed packages, the unredeemed codes are refunded pro rata within these 14 days.

7.2 After the 14 days have expired, no refund is made. There is no statutory right of withdrawal for company packages; the return option under section 7.1 is voluntary. For consumers from the EU, section 5 of the Terms and Conditions also applies.

7.3 A refund remains reserved if OREME cannot provide the service, in particular if the Lucerna service is discontinued. In that case OREME will refund the price of the unredeemed codes pro rata.

7.4 Refunds are made via the original means of payment. Fees of the payment service provider are not deducted.

8. Loss and misuse

8.1 The purchaser is responsible for keeping the codes safe. Anyone who knows the code can redeem it. OREME is not liable for redemptions by unauthorised persons if the code was lost, passed on or became known. This does not apply if the unauthorised redemption is due to fault on the part of OREME, for example a security gap in our system, or if it takes place after you have notified us under section 8.2.

8.2 In the event of loss or suspected misuse, please notify OREME immediately. Codes not yet redeemed can be blocked and replaced by new codes, insofar as this is technically possible.

8.3 OREME may block codes in the event of misuse, in particular in the case of public posting or resale (section 5.3).

9. Data protection for company packages

9.1 The company receives no health data, information, complaints, medical reports or results of the persons who redeem a code, nor their names.

9.2 On request, the company receives only the number of codes redeemed (e.g. monthly), but not which individual codes were redeemed. The company may not use the allocation of the codes to determine who has used Lucerna.

9.3 Whether and when a person uses the code is voluntary. The company may not require use and may not demand results from its employees.

9.4 In all other respects, the Lucerna privacy policy applies.

10. No diagnosis, no substitute for a doctor

The Lucerna assessment is produced using artificial intelligence. It is not a medical diagnosis and not a treatment recommendation, is not personally reviewed by a doctor, does not replace a consultation and does not establish a doctor-patient relationship. In an emergency, contact the emergency services immediately.

11. Changes

OREME may amend these supplementary terms for the future. For packages already purchased, the version applicable at the time of purchase applies.

12. Applicable law and place of jurisdiction

12.1 Swiss law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

12.2 The place of jurisdiction is Teufen AR. For consumers, the place of jurisdiction at their place of residence also applies. Mandatory places of jurisdiction and mandatory consumer protection provisions of the country of residence remain reserved.
